Snow day

Snow has arrive this morning on Ledge Hill. Good time to update and look back at a couple of things I should have blogged beginning with last weekend.

90 years birthdays present and recent pass

Last Sunday was my mother-in law Margaret's 90th birthday. My sister-in law Lois held a 3 day open house to celebrate and allow friends and relatives to drop by to visit and extend best wishes for the milestone. Margaret up until the last couple of years has been a resident of northern Maine before moving in with Lois and her husband Jim in lower central Maine. Outside of relatives and friends who have moved to the south more still reside in the north so there will be an occasion for them during a summer visit that Margaret will be there. Of course Carol and I were there Friday evening, and most of Saturday. Lots of food and drink, catching up with visiting well wishers coming and going. Carol followed up Sunday morning joining her sisters and mother to attending church.

Now to go farther back in time to September my mother's 90th birthday open house held in the function room of the apartment facility where she resides. This was a one day affair with relatives and friends dropping by including many of the residents from the complex. Again plenty of food and drinks to be had. My sisters Kathy and Doreen who both live nearby with the help of their families put it all together and with my brothers and I help with setup and cleanup. Very successful event and Mom had a great time with all.
