Big Sky at Madawaska Lake

I'll spare you the mundane details of a wonderfully laid back day on vacation, so we'll do a pictorial version - though I will mention that we had dinner at Eureka's.

For Maine this is real "Big Sky" territory.
I loved watching this continuous parade of
clouds journey by.

Yours truly doing what I like best on
vacation, reading at lakeside. Finished
it tonight by a campfire.

The building to the left is what remains of "Stan's",
the last place you could go to get a 10 cent cup
of coffee.

This is where we're at, note reading chair to the right.

E'owyn says not to forget to let you know she's here too.

Forgot to mention, yesterday was Patches' 7th birthday.

Believe it or not this was a salvage expedition,
successful, retrieving a couple of plastic oars
that had sunk in the lake.

Today's sunset with bonus shots, this evening was
a spectacular display well beyond what I had
hoped I'd see. Let me know what you think.

What a time to be out "sculling".

The sky was practically on fire!
