Life is full of good and bad experiences but I seem to find the most pleasure from fleeting moments of each day. Sure I get frustrated a lot more than I should but every now and then "just a little is enough" to keep me going.

Vacation starts... NOW!
Been waiting a long time though I hate the thought of summer slipping away but here I am at the camp on Madawaska Lake. The downer, Carol has to work so I'll soldier on here and stay in touch. I am not quite alone. I brought E'owyn along. At 13 years old she doesn't travel well. I give her a lift to get into the truck, she may be 80% deaf, is on medication for incontinence and I wouldn't doubt she has some dementia. It has been 2 years since the last time I took my summer vacation here after maybe 10 straight years before. Last year I didn't make it for good reason, Ian and Ali were married in NH so Carol and I camped a short drive away and participated in several gatherings of family and friends leading up to the wedding and the following reception. Now my task is to forget the office and kick back. I have Neal Asher's latest book, War Factory to begin, brought along my bike and kayak and plans on catching up on some things on the internet and correspondence. Now I just need a means to slow down time.
