Waking up today at Mountainview Campground in Morrisville, VT. The Memorial Day Weekend began with rainy drive away from the highways up through western Maine, across New Hampshire and into the Green Mountains of Vermont. The rain itself varied from misty running the gauntlet to the occasional downpour. The initial camper setup was performed in a steady rain then tapered down to nothing and Carol and I were able to finish up without soaking up more water. While just getting started on the setup Lois and Jim arrived pulling into the neighboring campsite. Today is forecasted for occasional showers, our plans are to tour around the region then over to the Burlington area. We hope to visit at least a couple of wineries and Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory, plus some other sites. We’ll figure it out as we go.
