Life is full of good and bad experiences but I seem to find the most pleasure from fleeting moments of each day. Sure I get frustrated a lot more than I should but every now and then "just a little is enough" to keep me going.

Some of the future is now
Getting a sneak peak of life when Ian leaves for college. He's in Lansing, MI right now at the National Order of the Arrow Conference. He'll be back on Thursday and the day after he leaves for Camp KV as a staff member at the BSA National Youth Leadership Training program. That lasts thorough the following week afterwhich, with Taylor, we all (dogs included) headout for a week at the camp on Madawaska Lake. The leaves us a week with Ian around the house before his first day at UNH.

Wow! Time sure flies. I can't believe that Ian is even old enough for college!
Something I saw during the movie Carol and I were watching got me reminising (to myself) about the times when Ian was little, while holding him leaning my nose into his hair and smelling him. Moments that I hadn't thought about since but now realizing that it was such a special thing having your kid in your lap and the contact we used to make and you look at the full grown version, it gives one pause.

PS, Nice picture choice
