We are now where we worked hard to be. Both Carol and I are (trumpets please) retired and in good health? I have been retired since September. Carol walked out of her office for the last time last Friday. We shed a tear as she arrived home, it has been long time coming to get us to this point and happy to be able to do things on our own time other than bits and pieces on weekends and vacations. (Balloons courtesy of her former co-workers. Thanks for the nice sent off.)
Life is full of good and bad experiences but I seem to find the most pleasure from fleeting moments of each day. Sure I get frustrated a lot more than I should but every now and then "just a little is enough" to keep me going.

Almost too much when there isn't that much to begin with
In spite of my self promise to write a blog at least once a month I still let that intention drift until here I am a week into the next with more good intentions. A small part of that neglect is that I seem to write too much about the weather - who cares about a weather report that one may be reading months after the event unless it's of historical proportion. Note to self, try a little harder. This will still be what generally is a blog about me and what is going on in my life.
Now for real stuff. I will be receiving my first COVID-19 shot in a couple of days. I don't know which version but just getting one will be great. Still waiting for Carol to get her appointment. Be nice for both of us to be fully vaccinated about the same time period.
