Dog days have returned

Time has come for a change in the household dynamics. "Almost" on a whim Carol and I re-entered the world of being dog owners

Please welcome to our household, Jackson. Australian Shepherd - Shih tzu - miniature poodle presently at 6 and a half months old. One of my brothers and his wife's dog had a litter that Jackson came from. He is quite the trail trooper and sharp as a tack. Over the 5 years since our last dog I've held off from taking on the care and maintenance of another pup for a few years at least. Should be interesting times ahead.

The last RV trip...

.. of the year of course. More of the same madness next year.

Beech Hill Campground is located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This was our first time at this campground though we've visited the area several times over the years. This was also near peak of the fall foliage season in the the region (Sept 23 - 27th). Unfortunately during our time there the conditions were not ideal as there were often cloudy misty skies mixed over the mountains and valleys. Still we managed some great scenic views along our drive around the region.

67 just looks odd to me

Another birthday has come and gone. Still hard to reconcile that I'm approaching 70 though I have a fair number of aches, twitches, itches, memory glitches and whatnots to show for it. Probably need a thorough tune-up by then anyway.

Photos from the camp lake week plus two camper trips

Some shots from our family camp vacation
mentioned in my last post.

Vermont camping and hiking in late July

amazing department stores I've ever entered. If
ever you are traveling near Dorset, VT you
need to stop by. (hint: park in the back)

Hiding out in the northland

Not that no one can contact me with cell phones/email and all. What had previously been a Sunday to Saturday stay at the family camp while being a Monday to Friday working guy. With Carol now retired it's nice to be able to leave the yard work and projects behind us for a while so it's off to the lake for a extended week.

Stay tuned for any photos that I hope to post once I return home. Takes a lot of cell phone data to send large files from my hotspot.

Later than what I mentioned in the last post, here are the some of the project photos.

Last but not forgotten
Mold Remediation
The main portion of the house's attic had wide
areas of black mold on the rafters, stringers
fiberglass insulation and the underside of
roof sheeting. We had a company that
specialized in that kind of work
to clean it out and add blown in deeper insulation.
