Another of those catch-up blogs

Coming up to the end of November and such a month it has been. Snow and cold weather that would make January proud. Since the last blog there was the Labor Day weekend camping on Mt. Desert Island but at a different campground than usual due to not reserving our usual site next to Lois and Jim and someone else taking it and all the other sites were filled too. Managed to get into another campground we had used years ago. Actually that led us to a several short hikes over the time we were there that we enjoyed two of which were quite nearby the CG,

Yes, missed blogging about my 64th birthday in September. Uneventful though it does mark two years to my retirement date. Celebrated by attending one of Ian's rugby matches - they lost but it was a great day to be out watching. Also during the month I find myself dealing with a couple of maladies. An issue with my vocal cords and my prostate. Still remains to be sorted out on each though I think the vocal cords are making progress. The prostate remains, an MRI coming up in a couple of weeks. Talk about how to hit the health care budget but these things need to be addressed.

Another camping trip to a Camden coastal region that again years ago we had stayed. Besides being a great scenic area the CG had a two tiered overlook out to the ocean with benches and the like to sit and at some distance watch boats and lobstering going on,

Continuing into the October part of the autumn season Carol and I had our 43 wedding anniversary. The camper went into storage on the next to last weekend of the month and a lot of yard-work was done.

Screen room was taken down and put away with most of the outdoor furniture. November has flown by especially with the date of Thanksgiving day similarly being early this year with there practically being a whole week of the month left after that holiday's long weekend. I took off as vacation Monday through Wednesday so that's been nice. Had the grand-dogs for the week while Ian and Ali took a short Caribbean cruise that they are just returning from. On Thanksgiving Day itself we had Lois, Jim and MIL Margaret over for the holiday dinner. Today was visiting a Christmas Craft fair, a rather large affair at a local high school.

Now with one more day before returning to work.
