Life is full of good and bad experiences but I seem to find the most pleasure from fleeting moments of each day. Sure I get frustrated a lot more than I should but every now and then "just a little is enough" to keep me going.

A fairly good week
A week ago at this time I was rocketing my way home from a good time spent at the camp. All in all the week at the office was OK and seemed to race by quicker that my week away. The construction of a parking garage behind the office goes on. It's being built on bedrock so there as been a lot of almost constant jackhammering that blends into the brain that I can most of the time forget it's even happening. Fortunate to have one interior wall between my cube and the exterior brick wall. Unfortunately the project got a late start due to mismanaged construction permits by both the city and the building owner's people. It has turned into a 4 month delay and instead of being completed by the end of November the best we can hope for is early spring 2019. So it goes. Back to the yard work.

There's always a Friday on it's way
And today is Friday, last vacation day of my week off. Spending most of today reading lakeside, listening to the lake and it's surrounding sounds, watching the afternoon clouds approaching this side of the lake. A couple of weeks from now there will be times I'll wish I could call it up in a full immersion hologram. Hard to package for later. Yesterday I did my adventure day trip to Grand Falls, NB, CAN as mention earlier. Interesting visit with the hiking abouts the gorge and being in a bilingual community where the first word out of the locals mouth was likely French-Canadian. This was never a problem. The real problem is trying to consume the leftovers in the refrigerator so as not to bring them home.

Up to camp
Away from the office for my summer vacation at the camp. This year alone, Carol used her vacation time earlier for family reasons, no dogs in the household anymore to tag along. Had a good trip north Sunday leaving behind cloudy, possibly rainy day and by 3 and half hours later big beautiful blue skies and a big jump in humidity. Once I arrived at the camp there was a nice breeze coming off from Madawaska Lake that made it all worth the ride, Since then I've done some bike riding and kayaking, reading Neal Asher's latest book, "The Soldier", grilling for lunch and supper AND taking sunset photos. Expecting some wet weather later today through tomorrow (more reading time). Forecast looks a little better for Thursday-Friday - could be wet for the ride home on Saturday.
