Nothing like a possible heat wave forecast to drive home the realization that summer has arrived. Though June temperatures can climb towards the 80s and beyond this year has had more of it's share of days of 60s and nights in the 50s and some 40s. In spite of that the few "hot" days have already scorched the lawn with doubts of possible recovery at this early stage of the season. Plenty still to do around the yard, we'll scale it back due to the coming temperatures over this weekend. Thinking about dragging the kayaks out of the garage for little lake and small river paddle at a favorite location.
Life is full of good and bad experiences but I seem to find the most pleasure from fleeting moments of each day. Sure I get frustrated a lot more than I should but every now and then "just a little is enough" to keep me going.

Not much, you?
Long days at the office and wall to wall weekends with yard catchup duty. Regardless here's bird photo for checking in. Don't give up on me.
Indigo Bunting
New arrival, a couple have moved into the yard this spring.
