Them Red Sox

Been an interesting opening month with the Boston Red Sox. Rather inconsistent pitching leading to a mediocre record this early in the season. Unless they are getting crushed I'm happy to watch them play. It is the young guys I find fascinating. So much potential with surprising developing skills. Sprinkle in several veteran players and they can sure take a run at a win. Tonight's game is in Atlanta against the Braves. No score in the top of the 6th, about time to put together few hits. GO SOX!

Keep moving, things to do

Been a good with some crazy couple of weeks that I'd find difficult to document in some detail here, no thank you necessary. I will mention a few things. Carol and I did the annual RV and campground show in Portland last weekend, among other RVs we found a Class A that we liked quite a bit so if ever we decided to trade our present RV and move into a fully self contained vehicle this one would be tempting.

Mostly we grab a lot of campground materials and found a couple of campgrounds we hadn't been to before that might some places we'd like to go this year. Earlier in the day we had stopped at the home show at another venue. Builders, product vendors, etc. abounded. We did talk to a couple of them, the most relevant to our near future plans was for heating systems for heating/cooling a remote space
away from our house's main system. Before heading to the RV show for lunch we made our first visit to Famous Dave's BBQ. We both imbibed in a BBQ brisket sandwich, very tasty, we could do that again.

This weekend we ran some errands over to Windham, had some items to pick up at Lowes and ended up buying a new lawn tractor to replace the old Massey Ferguson we've had for 35 years. Though I loved that old tractor which was old when we bought it it's time had come. roll in the new. Beep!

Ouch!?!

Weather hurts. Moist air, a bit of snow flying abouts in a wind that strikes like a blade just to get away from the office for a lunch hour cup of coffee. OK, the coffee was worth it alone accompanied by a good read - it was a good though brief escape.

Can never get enough of Spring

Mild, cold, sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy - spring continues on it's merry way. Change the words to make them relevant to the office and that describes another crazy week at work. Though I brought some work home this weekend it has been a fairly laid back time. Raked up a ton of the oak leaves that dropped off the trees well into December and blanketed both sides of the driveway. It was cool and damp but enjoyed the time outdoors just the same. Today ran a couple of errands and had a breakfast lunch at a favorite diner with Carol. Took care of a few other weekend tasks, caught a nap. Nothing too exciting to write about except we received some great news from Ian that he acquired the funding he needed to begin his PhD work when he and Ali return to New England after almost two years in the San Francisco area.
