Life is full of good and bad experiences but I seem to find the most pleasure from fleeting moments of each day. Sure I get frustrated a lot more than I should but every now and then "just a little is enough" to keep me going.

Spring into winter
Not that it was unexpected but we woke up to a snow covered yard and house, a couple of inches with more snow falling lightly throughout the day. This is NOT suppose to happen on "bring the camper home from storage" day, what I consider the first day of spring. At least the roads hadn't any accumulated snow given the temperatures were above freezing, just a little slush here and there, no problem towing the camper. The further away from Ledge Hill I drove the less snow there was on the ground.

Taking a moment
Haven't had the mental energy to blog lately. Work has been pretty intense with the amount of computer work that comes my way contributing to evening burn out when I finally sit down at my own computer at home. My part time work for the town is picking up as we prepare for a new website system and I'm doing the layout for the annual report. This job comes to an conclusion at the close of the fiscal year at the end of June as my position has been removed from the budget. I may contract to work on the next annual report though. Then there are regular life things happening also. I've increased the amount of workout time per week from about 3 hours to over 6 which doesn't include my walking. Hard to find time just to relax not counting going to bed at night. I expect things to settle out some in a month or so but believe it when you see it. I guess it's better than being bored.

Easter Weekend
Flying solo this holiday weekend... if you don't count the household critters. Carol joined her sisters for a trip north to spend the weekend with their mother. Ian had work to do and couldn't make it home so I went about my business in my usual random fashion. First of all the weather has been spectatular for the first weekend in April. I'm almost ready to let my guard down that we won't see anymore snow this season. I'll leave the snow removal equipment out and ready at least until I bring the camper home from storage two weeks from now. Yesterday was so nice I put up a stormdoor on the back door of the house. I've had it in it's carton taking up space in the garage since last fall when I bought it and another one which I had then installed on our breezeway doorway. As projects that I do go this one went smoothly enough. The evening's movies were "Silent Running" (1971) on Friday night and Saturday was "Johnny Mnemonic" (1997). Not everybody's cup of tea so watching them by myself worked out pretty good and I liked both flicks.
Easter morning I loaded Patches into the car and off we went to my mother's for Easter dinner, first though I stopped at my sister Kathy's to check out some computer problems she was having then we continued to Mom's were Kathy and her family joined us and my brother David's family were already there. Again the terrific weather was a big plus as we spent most of our time on the deck. Nephew Danny and niece Lindsey's fiancee, Joe kept Patches busy chasing his ball, almost wore him out. Mom made a terrific ham dinner and of course the grand finale... the Bunny Cake
